چکیده
Bio-hydrogen from residual biomass may involve energy-intensive pre-treatments for drying and size management, as in the case of wet agro-industrial residues. This work assesses performance an alternative process layout bio-hydrogen production citrus peel gasification, with aim cogenerating heat power along hydrogen, using minimal external energy sources. The consists air-steam fluidized bed reactor, a hydrogen separation unit, compression combined unit fed by off-gas unit. Process simulations were carried out to perform sensitivity analyses understand variation production’s thermodynamic environmental when steam ratios (S/B) vary 0 1.25 at 850 °C. In addition, exergy efficiencies integrated renewability (IR) are evaluated. As main results, analysis showed that highest yield is 40.1 kgH2 per mass dry S/B = 1.25. Under these conditions, efficiency polygeneration system 33%, IR 0.99, carbon footprint ?1.9 kgCO2-eq/kgH2. Negative emissions high values observed due substitution non-renewable resources operated cogenerated streams. proposed demonstrated first time potential effects flow on performance. Furthermore, authors how could be produced input while net exploiting cogeneration
